This turkish pigeon project reminds a lot to our project.
In 2008, in a turkish prison garden, Prison officers caught some pigeons with cell phones attached to their body with tape.
Prisoners were using pigeons to transport stuff from the outside world, which are illegal inside the prison.

Jesse Muller, first year’s student at the Rietveld Academy pointed this out to me. In the city archive of Amsterdam, they preserved the claws of the ‘resistance-pigeons’ which had an important role in the Second World war. Important messages were sent across the city of Amsterdam.
Inspired by ‘Something to hide’, Jesse made her own experiment: two weeks snailmail instead of email & telephone. As soon as her blog is online, I’ll let you know.

Our pigeons are back @ home, but they still leave their traces. This is in post-industrial Germany, Dortmund to be precise. More can be found here.
