Dislocation - The Netherlands

Dislocated in the virtual world

Spending lots of time locked inside my temporary home… just in case you were wondering where is she? Writing! Mostly dislocated in the virtual world of my laptop, with the phone close by.

Such a lot of work and not even sure will make my deadlines this week - applying for funding… So much look forward to build Dislocated more in to a web doc and website. Suggestions still very welcome there! (more…)

A new season

Yesterday at the Uitmarkt, the opening of the cultural season. Shortly after this heavy rain chased the crowd away.

This market always feels like the end of summer… It makes me look forward to visit lots of cultural events while it’s cold outside. At this point it’s the question how much of Amsterdam’s cultural season I will actually witness - as plans are becoming very concrete for travelling soon!

Su Tomesen - dislocated or located?

Su Tomesen makes her statement about being dislocated or located in Amsterdam. We filmed this video just before Su left for Rio de Janeiro for the project City One Minutes.

If you want, read Su’s portrait on Dislocated. Su; I wonder how you are doing over there in Rio with the Carioca’s! So if you have a minute for dislocated - tell us if you feel located or dislocated there right now?

Almost there

edco.JPGToday it’s 9 years ago that I got married. After being together for 10 years, we had decided it was time to take that next step. Did not last for another ten, that’s for sure.

photo: with my ex discussing last issues, to finally get the official divorce. Feel relieved!

Now it’s mainly up to official partners like our bank to work with us. Hope to sign before too long.
