Daniel in CameroenCan Daniel Knoop make a difference in a world that is not his? A candid picture of the professional and personal dilemmas with which a young and ambitious development worker is confronted.

Full of ambitions, Daniel Knoop leaves for Africa to fight poverty in a sustainable way. In Cameroon, Daniel is confronted with the rules and bureaucracy of the international community and the omnipresent corruption. On a personal level there are other obstacles; it is not always easy to carry out western values within an African environment.

Can he make a difference in a world that is not his?

  1. Kunt u mij vertellen of deze film Engelstalig is? Ik zou hem graag bezoeken met iemand die geen Nederlans spreekt. Op deze site, of op die van IDFA kan ik het niet vinden.

  2. During IDFA the English version of ‘Bridging the Gap’ will be screened. That means, English subtitles all thorough the documentary. Moreover, IDFA is an international festival. Therefore the question and answer sessions after the film will also be in English.
